RP Family “Milestones”

What’s their purpose?

Milestones are opportunities "to celebrate and commemorate significant spiritual milestones of God's work in the life of the family and child" (The Village Church). Milestones provide opportunities for us to pause, reflect, train, and celebrate God’s calling and work in the lives of our families here at Rock Point Church by coming alongside families and equipping them in their child's spiritual journey.

What are they?

Dedicate Milestone: Encouraging families to dedicate themselves to being disciple makers of their children in partnership with the local church (babies and toddlers under 3 years and their families; for members only).

Discover Milestone: Equipping families to lead their children to discover the joy and truth of God’s Word (K-2nd grade and parents).

Decide Milestone: Equipping families to have ongoing Gospel conversations with their children so they grasp their need for Jesus and by Gods grace decide to turn from sin and trust in Him (2nd-4th grade and parents).

Develop Milestone: Equipping parents to lead their children to develop a biblical understanding of their gender and sexuality as persons designed in the image of God (4-6th grade and parents).

Devote Milestone: Equipping families to lead their children to be devoted to Jesus and understand how to guide their students with wisdom as they grow and change (6-9th graders and parents).

Disciple Milestone: Equipping parents to launch their children into this next season of life as disciples who live on mission for Jesus wherever he leads them (HS seniors and parents)
